Privacy Policy

Moonshine Energy ("we," "us") provides the Moonshine Energy mobile application (the "App") for iOS and Android to authorized employees and customer users for viewing oil and water load operations data. This policy explains what information the App collects and how we use it. It also briefly covers our website, moonshineenergy.com.

Information we collect

• Account information: your work email address and authentication credentials, managed through Firebase Authentication.
• Access request information: when you request access, we collect your name, work email, optional company name, and a one-time verification code.
• Device information for push notifications: a push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and your device platform (iOS or Android) so we can send new-load alerts.
• Operational data: after you sign in, the App retrieves the load and dashboard data you are authorized to see from our servers. That operational data belongs to Moonshine Energy and our customers and is not sold.
• Support and exports: if you email yourself a CSV export, we send it to the email address on your authenticated account.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate you, determine your access permissions, show the load and dashboard content you are authorized to see, send push notifications about new loads, process access requests, and operate and secure the App.

Sharing

We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including Google Firebase (authentication and push notifications), Google Cloud (API hosting), and email delivery providers such as SendGrid (access codes and CSV exports). We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Location

The App may include a location usage description because some included software components reference location features. We do not use your device location for the App's core load-viewing features.

Data retention

Account and device-token records are kept while your access is active and for a reasonable period after deactivation for security and operational purposes. Access-request records are kept as needed to process requests and for audit purposes.

Your choices and account deletion

• You can turn off App notifications at any time in your device settings (iOS Settings or Android Settings).
• To request account deactivation or deletion of the personal account data associated with the App, email reports@moonshineenergy.com from your work email. We will verify the request and process it within a reasonable time, subject to legal and operational retention needs.

Our website

If you use the contact form on moonshineenergy.com, we collect the information you submit (such as your name, email, phone number, and message) and use it only to respond to you. Job applications are handled through our third-party application provider, Fleet Armor by Tellus Compliance, under its own privacy policy.

Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
